At the overpass at the intersection of Highway 8 and the Coastal Highway, there's a "shortcut" to get to Sandy Beach without going through town and hitting all the stoplights.  (DO NOT go over the overpass to Puerto Peñasco)  At the round-about, make a right (West) to go toward Golfo de Santa Clara.

Cross the railroad tracks and turn left (South), and continue under the "Welcome to Puerto Peñasco" arch.

Continue past the wind turbine, under the Sandy Beach arch, and bear right to go to the resorts at the western end of Sandy Beach, or make a hard left to go to the Sonoran Sky
